Jordon Hudson is addressing the criticism directed at her and Bill Belichick regarding their age difference.
The 24-year-old referred to the 73-year-old former NFL coach as her “old bae” in a series of Instagram videos shared on Wednesday night.
In one post, she humorously captioned a video of them enjoying chicken wings with the phrase, “Old Bay with my old bay.”
Hudson’s post included a few emojis, including a sweaty laugh, hands forming a heart, and a nod to “So Is Love” from “Cinderella.”
While many social media users reacted to the couple’s relationship with comments calling it “unhinged” and “cringe,” some fans appreciated the humor in Hudson’s pun and supported the May-December romance, advising her to ignore the negativity.
Belichick, who celebrated his 73rd birthday last month, has faced a mix of responses to their relationship. Hudson’s clever caption garnered both attention and criticism.
Some unfazed commenters expressed their indifference to the age gap, while others chimed in with supportive remarks about their relationship.
Hudson’s message surfaced amid speculation about a potential engagement. The couple has been the talk of the town, particularly after Hudson was seen wearing a sparkling ring earlier this year. Belichick also made headlines by changing the name of his boat to reflect their relationship.
Initially called the VIII Ring—in tribute to his eight Super Bowl wins—the vessel is now named the I+VIII Ring, according to reports.
The New York Times recently shared that Hudson mentioned she was engaged and tied to the Chapel Hill coach connected with the University of North Carolina.
Interestingly, the couple crossed paths on a flight three years ago and made their relationship public last year, maintaining a strong front through recent criticisms.
Belichick also showed his support for Hudson during her recent participation in the Miss Maine pageant, where she placed third.
He expressed admiration for Hudson last week on “Good Morning America,” highlighting her kindness and their ability to focus on their respective careers.
However, he awkwardly sidestepped some questions during an interview, hinting at the complexities of public scrutiny over personal relationships.
