Missing Alabama woman reportedly struck by vehicle, suspect disposed of body.

Charges Filed in Murder Case of Missing Alabama Woman

A man has been charged in connection with the murder of an Alabama woman who was reported missing and believed to have been intentionally struck by a vehicle.

According to the Florence Police Department, a body, presumed to be that of Page Strickland, was discovered at a residence on Tuesday.

The 38-year-old had been missing since the weekend.

“These artifacts will be sent to a forensic lab for analysis to confirm identification,” provided Florence Police Colonel Jason Fort in a recent case update.

The suspect, 28-year-old Logan Rogers, is currently held at the Lauderdale County Jail without the possibility of bail and is awaiting a court hearing. He was taken into custody at his home on Tuesday.

Fort mentioned that the initial charge against Rogers, which was attempted murder, has been upgraded to murder following the discovery of Strickland’s body.

Strickland was last seen on May 16. Law enforcement authorities in Alabama noted that she might have been living under circumstances that affected her ability to make sound decisions.

Rogers allegedly assaulted Strickland at KIA Seoul on May 17. Reports suggest that he struck her with his vehicle, then made a second pass to hit her again. A distressing detail indicates that he later returned to the scene in a pickup truck about 30 minutes after the incident, and proceeded to pick up her body.

Eventually, Strickland’s remains were located in a burn barrel on Rogers’ property, where he had attempted to dispose of her body by burning it, according to court documents cited in reports.
