Kid Cudi believed Diddy was involved in his car bombing, the rapper states.

Kid Cudi Reaches Out to Diddy After Car Incident

Kid Cudi revealed that he contacted Sean “Diddy” Combs a few days following an explosive incident involving his car, which was targeted with Molotov cocktails.

“After my car was on fire, I felt it was necessary to reach out to Sean Combs. I wanted to meet and discuss things,” Cudi shared. “After such an incident, I realized it was getting out of hand, and a conversation was needed.”

The two artists met at Soho House in Hollywood.

Cudi described being escorted into the room by Combs’ security, and humorously noted that Diddy was “looking out the window like a Marvel supervillain, hands behind his back.”

During their discussion, they touched on the time when Mescudi and Cassie Ventura were dating and how things had ended between them.

Combs emphasized that they were partners, stating, “I let him know she told me they were breaking up, and I took her word for it.”

Cudi recalled Combs being “very calm,” which struck him as unusual given the circumstances.

Eventually, Ventura entered the room, and Cudi expressed his disappointment at finding out she’d returned to Combs. “We fell in love, and things just happened,” he told Diddy.

The conversation took a turn when Cudi, trying to clear the air, posed a question, which brought back a cold stare from Combs. “I don’t know what you’re talking about,” he responded, confused. “I thought we were cool—are there any issues?”

Years later, they crossed paths again at another Soho House meeting, where Combs offered an apology. “He said, ‘Man, I want to apologize for everything, all the nonsense,'” Cudi recounted.

Since that exchange, the two rappers have maintained a peaceful relationship. “After receiving the apology, I felt a bit of peace, you know? It was the closure I needed,” Cudi reflected.
