Ana de Armas recently hinted at her blossoming relationship with Tom Cruise, adding fuel to the ongoing dating rumors surrounding them.
“Of course, everyone knows I’ve been working with Tom Cruise,” the “Ballerina” actress playfully remarked during an interview released on Thursday.
De Armas and Cruise are currently collaborating on a project alongside directors Christopher McQuarrie and Doug Liman.
“They can’t believe everything they do,” de Armas shared, describing the duo as a “lovely” and “great team.” She seemed pretty enthusiastic about the whole process, calling it fantastic.
The 37-year-old noted the demanding physical training involved while working with Cruise, who is 62. “I’m doing crazy training just like you did when you worked with Tom,” she mentioned.
She also mentioned how much fun she’s having working with Cruise on this unnamed project. “It’s like another level of raising the bar,” she commented, clearly excited about their collaboration.
On May 15, during her appearance on “Good Morning America,” De Armas reiterated that she is “working on a lot of things” with McQuarrie, Liman, and Cruise. It seems like there’s no shortage of projects for them to tackle together.
Interestingly, McQuarrie has a history of working with Cruise on the “Mission: Impossible” films, while Liman directed the two actors in “American Made” and “Edge of Tomorrow.”
Speculation about a romantic connection between de Armas and Cruise began when the two were spotted numerous times in London. They were seen together going out for dinner and arriving at heliports on multiple occasions in March and April.
Sources mentioned that their outings indicate a budding romance. “They went out on several dates, and it’s quite reserved,” an insider divulged. “It’s in the early stages, and he’s courting her.” It sounds like there’s definitely an interest there.
In contrast, de Armas appears to be taking things at a measured pace. Sources noted that she isn’t rushing into anything and is being cautious in her approach. “She’s not looking for anything that moves too fast,” one source commented.
After attending David Beckham’s 50th birthday party on May 3, reports emerged stating that the duo enjoyed a great time together. Guests observed them having fun, but while the atmosphere felt romantic, there was no concrete evidence of a relationship just yet.
