Tragic Incident in New Hampshire
Authorities report that a woman named Margaret Jasmine, 39, was fatally stabbed near the Prystow Police Station at approximately 6:13 AM on May 18, 2025.
Investigations revealed that her partner, Leiya N. Jasmine, 36, had sustained multiple injuries during the incident. This information was confirmed by the New Hampshire Department of Justice. Republican New Hampshire Attorney General John M. Formela, along with State Police Colonel Mark B. Hall and Police Chief John Santoro, provided further details in a recent announcement.
A warrant for an arrest has been issued, and it’s been assured that a child living in the household is safe and unhurt. Meanwhile, Leiya Jasmine remains hospitalized in an out-of-state facility due to serious injuries, and an arrest is expected to be scheduled later.
Reports indicate that Leiya Jasmine is Margaret’s “transgender spouse,” according to information shared by local news outlets.
On a related note, officials shared that the incident resulted in the discovery of a deceased woman and an injured man at their residence, further confirmed by various sources.
Additionally, it’s been noted that Leya Jasmine is recognized as a woman. Local news outlets reached out to verify Leya’s status, but both authorities referred back to the Attorney General’s statement.
Interestingly, Reya Jasmin hosted an event at the Plaistow Public Library with the theme “Listen to Transgender Women Anything!” which adds another layer to the community’s interaction surrounding these issues.
The journey of Leya’s gender transition is also highlighted by a local radio station, which provided insights into the couple’s experiences throughout this process.
