Billy Joel Cancels Tour Due to Health Concerns

Iconic musician Billy Joel has announced the cancellation of several upcoming tour dates after being diagnosed with a brain condition that has worsened following recent performances, according to his team on Friday.

“Billy Joel has decided to cancel all upcoming concerts due to his recent diagnosis of normal pressure hydrocephalus (NPH),” a message from his team indicated on his official website.

The Alzheimer’s Disease Association describes NPH as a condition where excess cerebrospinal fluid builds up in the brain’s ventricles.

The affected tour dates were set to include performances throughout the United Kingdom and parts of the United States, extending until July 2026, with the finale planned in Charlotte, North Carolina.

His team elaborated: “This condition has been worsened by recent concert performances, impacting his hearing, vision, and balance.”

“We didn’t start a fire,” Joel expressed, “and we deeply regret disappointing our audience. Thank you for your understanding.”
