Kamala Harris’s Controversial Remarks on Anderson Cooper Revealed in New Book
A recently released book has brought to light some troubling comments made by former Vice President Kamala Harris regarding CNN anchor Anderson Cooper after an interview in 2024.
The book, titled “Original Singh,” authored by Jake Tupper of CNN and Alex Thompson from Aquios, claims Harris referred to Cooper using a derogatory term. An excerpt notes, “This mother—I wouldn’t treat me like a damn vice president of the United States.”
It adds that Harris expressed disappointment, stating, “We thought we were better than that.” This context suggests her frustration post-interview, particularly due to concerns over her boss’s performance during a discussion with Trump.
Cooper didn’t shy away from expressing that some Democrats were pessimistic about Biden’s performance. He remarked, “Some people said it was a disaster, while others called it a train breakup. They were especially worried that Biden wouldn’t counter Trump’s lies.”
Media analysts were taken aback by what they labeled a “bad” debate performance, with remarks like “Total Disasters and Complete Disasters” making rounds.
Harris responded to Cooper’s style criticisms, saying the focus should be on the substantive issues of the election and on who is fit to be president. However, Cooper pressed on, referencing Harris’s previous critiques of then-President Biden. She seemed to rebuff this, insisting he wasn’t the same person he had been four years prior.
Harris appeared visibly frustrated as Cooper questioned whether the individual on the debate stage matched the one she had worked with in the White House. She retorted, “I’m not going to talk to you when I spent time with you and watched performances over the past three and a half years.”
Tupper and Thompson’s book underscores Harris’s anger toward Cooper that night. They noted that post-interview, she was clearly upset, as Cooper was addressing a concern many shared, but she interpreted it personally.
No immediate response has come from Harris’s representatives regarding the revelations in the book.
