Trump Celebrates 2025 West Point Graduates
President Donald Trump praised the latest graduating class of the West Point Military Academy during a ceremony held on Saturday, May 24, 2025. Addressing the 1,002 graduates, he encouraged them to cherish this special moment as they transitioned into their roles within the military.
“Every cadet in the field before me should take in this morning, because this is a day you will never forget,” Trump remarked. He emphasized that graduating from West Point is a significant milestone, marking them as part of a historically elite institution.
In his remarks, Trump highlighted the school’s rigorous standards and commended the graduates for their academic and physical accomplishments. He underscored a commitment to returning to merit-based systems and traditional military values, significant themes of his administration.
“The job of the U.S. military is not to host cultural exchanges or change foreign societies, but to spread democracy with strength,” he stated. “The task is to confront and neutralize threats to America, anytime, anywhere.”
Trump also celebrated various alumni, including notable achievements and personal stories, like that of Ricky McMahon, which added a personal touch to the proceedings.
He wrapped up by urging the new officers to stay dedicated and resolute. “Through every challenge and every fight, you stand strong, work hard, and always fight to win,” he declared.
