In a recent conversation, Roseanne Barr, the star of the original “Roseanne” series, shared her personal experiences since moving to Texas and how embracing a rural lifestyle has brought her joy. She described it as a dream realized, although it hasn’t come without its challenges. Recently, Barr faced a mishap when her tractor overturned, leaving her trapped underneath its weight.

“I have a lot of mowing to do, and I’ve got a really good tractor for that,” she noted. However, she admitted that navigating around trees can be tricky. “I often bump into them.” Reflecting on a recent incident, she recounted how a big branch fell on her, pinning her down for a bit. “It was pretty heavy, maybe around 100 pounds.” After a strenuous effort, she freed herself, taking about an hour to clear the fallen branch so she could escape.

Barr expressed a mix of pride and relief after managing to get out from under the tractor, despite her age. “I’m 72, and I said my prayers for help,” she added, mentioning that she continues to work on her property, which spans 30 acres.

Although her son hinted at a potential move to Palm Beach, Florida, Barr seems committed to her life in Texas. She shared her thoughts about the climate, saying it can be scorching, which sometimes makes her long for cooler places where she can relax outdoors. “At times, I’d rather burn in hell than deal with the heat,” she joked.

Looking ahead, Barr is also preparing for the release of her documentary, “Roseanne Barr is America,” set for June 10. Describing her journey, she remarked on her transition from poverty to success, capturing the essence of the American experience through her comedic career.

Reflecting on her past, Barr noted that she once ran for president in 2012 as a socialist. She faced significant backlash in 2018 after a controversial tweet, resulting in the cancellation of her show, but she’s hopeful about her new project. She mentioned that her life, filled with ups and downs, is a testament to resilience.

Despite the fallout from her past remarks, Barr feels her apologies have not fully healed the situation. “I wish people would understand that I never intended to hurt anyone,” she said. “Those moments are behind me now.” She maintains that she hasn’t spoken to her former co-stars since the fallout, describing them as irrelevant to her current life.

Barr’s documentary promises to delve deeper into her life story, and she invites viewers to share in her journey of challenges and triumphs. “I think there’s a lot to learn from my experiences,” she concluded.
