Dan Goldman Very Upset That Immigration Agents Had Masks On During Arrests

Goldman Questions ICE Agents’ Mask-Wearing

Dan Goldman, a Democrat from New York, voiced his concerns about ICE agents donning masks during a recent interview. He pointed to a rising trend of hostility towards these agents and noted that the “doxxing” of their identities has reached unprecedented levels.

In a statement made by Tom Homan, a former official, he highlighted the escalating attacks on ICE personnel. Goldman confronted several agents in his office lobby, challenging their decision to wear masks, which he interprets as an admission of questionable legality in their actions. “I was quite surprised to see them in masks. I mean, I’ve worked closely with ICE and law enforcement for a decade, and this is just unusual. So, I asked them, ‘Why are you hiding your faces?’” he recounted in an interview with CBS New York journalist Marcia Kramer.

Goldman’s comments come amid President Trump’s series of executive actions aimed at tackling illegal immigration and enhancing border security. Notably, he designated certain foreign entities, including drug cartels and gangs, as terrorists. These moves were aimed at fast-tracking the deportation of gang members.

Resistance to ICE operations isn’t limited to officials like Judge Milwaukee, who has purportedly aided undocumented immigrants facing ICE arrests. Nashville’s Democratic Mayor, Freddie O’Connell, also seems to be part of the pushback against enforcement actions, even releasing information about ICE’s local activities.

A representative from the Department of Homeland Security defended the use of masks by law enforcement, explaining that they do so for their safety against known threats. The spokesperson expressed frustration, remarking that while the media focuses on masks that protect law enforcement, it neglects to comment on sympathizers of terrorist groups who also wear masks, especially in academic settings.

ICE has not yet responded to inquiries regarding the matter.
