Shiloh Jolie Unveils New Stage Names
Shiloh Jolie-Pitt, the 19-year-old daughter of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, has introduced new stage names: Koni Rose and Suzuki Octopus. This debut occurred during a performance choreographed by Shiloh at a dinner event celebrating French designer Isabel Marant’s Capsule Collection.
Shiloh, who showcased a sensual dance while singer Ruela performed her song “Naybee,” made her first public appearance as a choreographer. Interestingly, this change comes a year after she chose to drop Pitt from her hyphenated surname following her 18th birthday this past May.
Following the legal notice about her name change that was published in the Los Angeles Times, her lawyer, Peter Levine, addressed some backlash from the media regarding the announcement. He urged journalists to focus more on their reporting, especially regarding important personal decisions made by young adults post-difficult events.
Shiloh isn’t alone in adjusting her name; her siblings are following suit as well. For example, Vivienne recently served as an assistant producer on Broadway’s “The Outsiders,” dropping Pitt from her last name in the credits.
Interestingly, Zahara made her own name change by introducing herself as “Zahara Marley Jolie” at her sorority at Spelman College, also omitting Pitt’s surname. It seems there’s a bit of a trend happening among the Jolie-Pitt children.
However, sources indicate that Brad Pitt is feeling a mix of emotion about these developments. He was initially overjoyed at Shiloh’s birth and has always wanted a daughter. Now, it’s said that he feels sadness knowing she chose to distance herself from his name, which serves as a stark reminder of their complicated relationship.
The couple’s divorce, filed back in 2016 amidst allegations of abusive behavior during a private flight, finally concluded in December 2024. Despite denying those allegations, the fallout from their separation has been long and challenging for both parents, emphasizing the ongoing emotional strain on the family.
