Cuban rapper Chocolate MC was arrested on charges of allegedly enticing fans with a demand for photos, which led to a troubling encounter. This occurred on Tuesday outside a grocery store in Opalaca, Florida. The artist, whose real name is Josvanis Sierra Hernandez, was approached by fans who recognized him.
According to reports, he took these fans to the shopping plaza’s parking lot and allegedly brandished a firearm. Witnesses say he placed the weapon against one of the fan’s chests and then seized a vehicle.
The 34-year-old singer is also accused of attempting to rob the fans. It was noted in the arrest report that Sierra requested cash from a victim, who then revealed his empty wallet. The rapper then allegedly insisted that the victim send him money through a payment app and provide his phone number.
When Sierra’s efforts to acquire cash failed, he reportedly forced the individuals to drive him around several locations in the Miami area for about two hours, according to police sources.
This series of events unfolded in an area where many of Sierra Hernandez’s Spotify listeners are located. He has now been charged with armed robbery and related offenses.
The rapper’s recent history is troubling; in May 2024, he was accused of luring his ex-girlfriend out of her apartment and taking her to Palm Beach County. Additionally, the Miami-Dade attorney’s office is investigating his alleged involvement in a murder plot.
