LIV Golf is Returning to the U.S.

Gainesville, Virginia – On June 6th, LIV Golf is set to begin play close to the nation’s capital. Interestingly, President Donald Trump has reportedly been an influence for some golfers, including one who’s making headlines.
Before the tournament kicks off this weekend at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Club, Bryson DeChambeau, captain of Crushers GC, shared details about a rather adventurous “side quest” of his, which involved a helicopter trip to a salt flat in Utah and even hitting golf balls from the Southern Lawn of the White House.
“Hitting shots at the White House was something I never thought I’d get to do. The President encouraged me—just told me to go for it,” DeChambeau said, reflecting on the unique experience.
Two-time U.S. Open champion, DeChambeau, is currently leading the LIV Golf rankings. In a recent chat, he expressed admiration for Trump’s golf skills, noting, “Seeing him drive the ball is quite impressive, especially given everything else he’s juggling.”
Phil Mickelson Joins the Buzz
Phil Mickelson, a six-time major champion, also weighed in during a media session. He’s looking forward to the upcoming event that starts on June 12, mentioning his commitment to being a valuable member of his team, Hyflyers GC. “I want to contribute positively—I don’t want to drag the team down,” Mickelson shared candidly.
Teammates Andy O’Grady, Brendan Steele, and Cameron Tringale joined Mickelson, as well as Joe Hanna, to discuss their partnership achievements, such as donating over 16 million golf balls and 1.6 million clubs to U.S. troops worldwide.
Mickelson also touched on the growth of LIV Golf since he joined the league three years ago. He emphasized the goal of having the best players compete on a more global scale, giving insights into the challenges with previous models.
