A significant number of adults believe that the Democratic Party has attempted to “conceal” former President Joe Biden’s health issues while he was in office.
In a survey, respondents were asked, “Do you think Democrats actively tried to hide information about Joe Biden’s health during the presidency?”
Overall, 57% of participants responded affirmatively, suggesting that Democrats did indeed attempt to conceal details regarding Biden’s health. On the other hand, 22% indicated uncertainty while some Democrats have denied these claims, asserting they did not hide information. Interestingly, 28% responded positively to the concealment claim, while 27% expressed uncertainty.
There seems to be a general agreement, with 86% and 57%, respectively, asserting that they tried to obscure the truth about Biden’s health.
The survey took place from May 23-26, 2025, encompassing 1,660 respondents, and has a margin of error of 3.2%. This comes after a recent announcement from Biden’s medical team indicating he had been diagnosed with a type of prostate cancer, having a “nodule” found in his prostate that was characterized by a Gleason score of 9 (Grade Group 5) and metastasis to the bone.
For quite some time, there have been suspicions that Democrats might be hiding the real state of Biden’s mental and physical health. Some, like CNN’s Jake Tapper, have been accused of downplaying Biden’s cognitive decline.
Even now, some Democrats find it challenging to defend Biden. During a recent interview on Talk briefly with Sam Fragoso, host Sam Fragoso questioned Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) about her previous comments regarding Biden’s mental sharpness.
“You said that until last July,” Fragoso pointed out.
Warren replied, “I said something I think is true.”
Fragoso pressed on, asking Warren if she thought Biden was as sharp as she is, to which she paused and became visibly anxious.
“Um, I said I’ve never seen decline,” she insisted. “And I wasn’t doing that at that point.”
He challenged her further, asking, “Did you see no decline from Joe Biden in 2024 to Joe Biden in 2021?”
Warren responded, “It’s not when I said it. You know that. He – he’s sharp. He was on his feet. I saw him several times.”
Fragoso reminded her of Biden’s current public speaking struggles, to which she responded, “It’s fine. It’s fair enough.”
Former Vice President Kamala Harris has also not escaped similar scrutiny.
