Concerns Rising Over Unexplained Deaths in New England
The recent discovery of Adriana Suazo’s body in a wooded area of Milton, Massachusetts has heightened fears regarding a troubling pattern of unexplained deaths in New England. Suazo, a 21-year-old from Boston, was found around 11:45 AM on June 1st. According to the Norfolk District Attorney’s Office, there were no obvious signs of trauma, and an investigation into the cause of her death is ongoing, led by the Chief Medical Examiner’s Office.
This incident marks another addition to a concerning series. Since March 2025, at least 13 bodies have been unearthed across Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Maine, commonly discovered in isolated or forested regions. The cases, while individually investigated by local police and district attorneys, have sparked public speculation about the potential for a serial killer in the area.
However, law enforcement remains skeptical about the idea of a single suspect, citing a lack of forensic evidence linking the various cases.
Patterns of Disappearance
On March 6th, a 35-year-old victim was discovered in the Norwalk River, Connecticut. That same day, a human skull turned up in a wooded area near Route 3 in Plymouth, Massachusetts. Later in March, more remains were found, including those of 58-year-old Suzanne Wormster, found in a suitcase. Her roommate was briefly arrested in connection with that case.
Continuing through April, more discoveries included a severed body on April 9th and subsequently, more bodies pulled from rivers across Rhode Island and Connecticut.
Most recently, a vigil was held for Suazo, where family and friends gathered to celebrate her life. Her sister, Melanie Pizzaro, described Adriana as a lively individual, full of energy and love. In a heartfelt GoFundMe campaign to cover funeral costs, she expressed how much Adriana’s presence was cherished.
