Bannon’s Warning to Musk Amid Tensions with Trump
Steve Bannon, the former White House Chief Strategist, recently expressed his frustrations with Elon Musk. This comes after a public dispute between Musk and former President Trump, where Bannon ominously stated, “We’re going to war.”
Bannon recounted how Trump treated Musk with familial kindness, inviting him to Christmas dinner and including him in important meetings. “The president really went out of his way to welcome him,” he said.
Bannon’s podcast, ‘Warroom,’ featured his fiery rhetoric. “Should we just forgive those who disrespect us?” he questioned. “Do I need to intervene? No way.” His tone was clearly agitated and confrontational.
The conflict escalated when Musk accused Trump’s administration of harboring “hate.” This came to a head during a White House visit when Trump reacted to German Prime Minister Friedrich Merz’s criticism of a legislative bill.
Musk has not held back on social media, openly calling for Trump’s removal while also implicating him in association with Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted sex offender.
In response, Trump threatened to revoke a significant federal contract with Musk’s businesses. Meanwhile, Musk claimed he would dismantle SpaceX’s Dragon Spaceship.
Bannon also mentioned that White House trade advisor Peter Navarro might be drafting an executive order to utilize the Defense Production Act, which could place both SpaceX and Starlink under government control.
As tensions flared that day, Bannon proposed an investigation into Musk’s immigration status, going so far as to imply he should be deported. “I believe he is an illegal alien and should be deported immediately,” he said during an interview.
During a live broadcast, he reiterated his stance against Musk, labeling him as “illegal” and demanding that action be taken against him. “Is he illegal? I think he might be facing deportation soon,” he remarked.
Although Musk was born in South Africa, he moved to Canada before settling in the United States, where he eventually became a naturalized citizen. A report from the Washington Post suggested that Musk may have worked illegally in the U.S. while establishing his businesses.
