Vance: The view of Trump as ‘hot-headed’ is ‘absurd’

Vance: Perception of Trump as 'short-tempered' is 'ridiculous'

Vance Supports Trump Amid Musk Tensions

Vice President Vance commended President Trump recently, especially in the context of Trump’s ongoing discord with tech mogul Elon Musk. Vance firmly rejected the notion that Trump is “short-tempered.”

“There are many falsehoods perpetuated by corporate media regarding President Trump. One of the most common claims is that he lacks patience or is impulsive. Anyone who’s seen him handle pressure knows that’s absurd,” Vance stated on social media.

He further mentioned, “It’s perhaps the largest gap between fake media perception and reality.”

This friction between Musk and Trump became evident following remarks made by Trump during an Oval Office meeting with German Prime Minister Friedrich Merz. Trump insinuated that Musk’s critiques of the substantial tax and expenditure bills stemmed from personal business interests. Musk countered by asserting that these bills could inflate the national debt and hinder efforts to control government spending. Following Trump’s comments, Musk took to social media to claim that Trump’s election victory was largely due to him, expressing disdain over what he termed “ingratitude.”

Musk also floated the idea of forming a third political party, suggesting that Trump’s reputation was marred by associations with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Trump responded by threatening to revoke multi-billion dollar federal contracts tied to Musk’s ventures, including SpaceX. However, Musk later seemed to retract his statements regarding his Dragon spacecraft.

On Thursday, Musk appeared open to mending fences with Trump after entrepreneur Bill Ackman encouraged former allies to make “peace,” to which Musk responded, “You’re not wrong.”

Vance expressed his loyalty to Trump, stating that Trump has earned trust within the movement he leads and that he takes pride in supporting him.

In a CNN interview, Trump offered a dismissive take on Musk, saying he “doesn’t even think about Elon,” adding, “He has a problem. There’s a problem with the poor guy.”

Trump also shared that he hadn’t been holding out hopes for Musk, hinting at his less-than-favorable viewpoint.

Additionally, Trump is contemplating the fate of some Red Teslas he acquired earlier this year. A senior White House official indicated that the vehicles are still parked at the White House as of Friday morning.
