Green Card Husband Accuses Wife of Deception

Alan Cacace, the husband of Green Card holder Hannah Kobayashi, has labeled her as an “awful person” amidst revelations about a troubling immigration scam that might have begun last December, coinciding with her mysterious disappearance.

Cacace, an Argentinean citizen, shared some insights into the situation, explaining that Kobayashi had promised him $15,000 to keep the details of their arrangement under wraps. “That girl is sick,” he stated, emphasizing his frustration.

Despite believing that Kobayashi might have been trying to turn a new leaf after their issues, he expressed disappointment, saying, “I thought after everything that happened, she was trying to do things right, but she lied to me again. She’s a terrible person.”

The 31-year-old Kobayashi ignited a nationwide search in November when she disappeared just before a flight to New York.

Cacace claimed he paid her $15,000 for what he thought was a genuine marriage in Maui, aimed at securing a Green Card. Tensions escalated among the group she traveled with, which included her “jealous” ex-boyfriend Amun Muniz Malanda and a companion named Kakaath. As their dynamics worsened, the FBI began investigating possible visa scams linked to the incident.

Interestingly, Cacace recounted that Kobayashi later offered to refund part of the money if he agreed to keep quiet, a proposal he perceived as yet another deceit. “In exchange for my silence, she promised everything she did to give my money back. But I think that was another lie about her,” he elaborated.

While the situation unfolded, it was revealed that Kobayashi’s father, Ryan Kobayashi, tragically died by suicide while searching for her. In a poignant social media post, she reflected on her father’s passing, stating, “[Life is] Such a precious gift… Especially after such loss, pain, and suffering. We all learn to be kind to each other and we all connect, so we need to cherish every moment we can.”

In December, Kobayashi expressed her gratitude to those who participated in the extensive search for her, announcing that she was traveling alone across the U.S. without any clear idea of the situation surrounding her initial disappearance.
