Carlos Alcaraz impressively beats Jannik Sinner at the 2025 French Open

The French Open Men’s Final unfolded as a dramatic showdown between two of tennis’s elite, Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz, on Sunday.

This match became one of the most thrilling of the year, with Alcaraz emerging victorious over Sinner in a gripping contest that ended 4-6, 6-7, 6-4, 7-6(3), 7-6(2).

Sinner initially seemed to have the upper hand, winning the first set 6-4 and clinching the second set with a 7-6 victory. Yet, Alcaraz gradually shifted the momentum back in his favor, making a strong comeback as Sinner’s early advantage began to fade.

Alcaraz took the third set, 6-4. In the fourth set, Sinner was up 5-3, but Alcaraz found a deeper level of play. He managed to level the set at 6-6, eventually pushing it to a tiebreaker that he won 7-3.

Starting the fifth set, Alcaraz quickly scored on a shot that just cleared the net, signifying a shift in momentum towards him. From there, he maintained his lead.

However, Sinner wasn’t going down without a fight. He faced some frustration but displayed remarkable skill, hitting a near-unreachable shot that had the crowd roaring. Despite Alcaraz’s powerful serves, Sinner kept tying the scores during a tense fifth set.

Sinner pressed on, taking a 6-5 lead after a hard-fought game that saw them reach deuce multiple times. His resilience showed as he delivered incredible shots that kept the set on edge.

Yet Alcaraz, not to be outdone, responded with an outstanding backhand that propelled him into a decisive tiebreaker.

The audience was on the edge of their seats as the two players exchanged powerful shots on the classic red clay, with five hours of play leading to a champion. Alcaraz ultimately dominated the tiebreaker 10-2, securing the French Open title for the second year in a row.
