Actor Calls for California Governor’s Resignation Amid Protests

James Woods, the actor, has openly called for California Governor Gavin Newsom to resign due to the ongoing unrest linked to US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) actions. He voiced his opinion on the platform X, stating that “invaders” are burning and destroying parts of the nation.

On Monday morning, Woods criticized Newsom, indicating that without strong leadership to safeguard Californians, the entire state could be engulfed in chaos. He urged Newsom to step down, emphasizing a dire need for leadership.

In response to another post from the governor regarding crisis management, Woods expressed a rather bleak outlook, stating that while the situation is dire, there are those who would profiting from it. He directed his comments towards Carl DeMaio, also a political figure in California.

DeMaio pointed out the involvement of Chirla, a group reportedly contributing to the unrest in Los Angeles, and mentioned they received a significant amount in taxes from the governor and his party.

Woods further reacted to remarks by FBI Director Kash Patel, asserting that enforcing the constitution does not require any external approvals. He highlighted issues involving crime amidst looting incidents in the city.

In another post, Woods conveyed frustration towards Newsom, suggesting a lack of proper response to the escalating violence. He shared images of the riots, depicting flames and chaos, which served to illustrate his point about the consequences of poor governance.

Woods shared his perspective on the situation, arguing that it’s reflective of the dangers of importing individuals whose values don’t align with those of the nation. His comments seemed to echo a broader narrative among conservatives about the implications of immigration policies.

Continuing his criticism, Woods remarked that voting for Democrats equates to endorsing the current crisis. He cited a video of LAPD Chief Jim McDonnell, who discussed the severity of the weapons being used by rioters, further stressing the gravity of the situation.

McDonnell described the kind of dangerous items used during the protests and the overwhelming number of individuals participating in the unrest. His remarks highlighted the ongoing struggle faced by law enforcement in maintaining order.

Woods, in a somewhat sarcastic tone, commented on the lack of effective leadership in addressing the crisis, posting videos of the destruction across Los Angeles. He pointed out visuals of vehicles engulfed in flames, criticizing the state’s leadership once again.

Recently, Los Angeles witnessed riots erupting in response to ICE operations aimed at deporting illegal immigrants, leading to scenes of chaos that were widely shared across social media platforms. This civil unrest has created a significant spotlight on local leadership and its efficacy.

In a related development, President Trump communicated over the weekend his directive to the Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Defense to assist in restoring order amid the unrest in Los Angeles.
