Martin Scorsese Returns with New Season of “The Saints”
Acclaimed filmmaker Martin Scorsese is back with the second season of the docudrama series “Martin Scorsese Presents: The Saints.” This season features eight episodes, each focusing on the life and journey of a different religious figure.
Notable saints in Season 2 include Our Lady Mary, St. Peter, St. Patrick, and Carlo Akotis. Scorsese, who has always had a passion for storytelling centered on religion, considers this series a long-held dream.
“For many years, I dreamed of telling stories about the life of a saint. It’s been an obsession for as long as I can remember,” Scorsese remarked. “Getting to create this series is incredibly important to me, and it’s heartening to see that audiences have responded positively. I’m very excited to be back for the second season.”

The first season of “The Saints” set viewer records, becoming the most-watched series in Fox Nation’s history. It included episodes featuring figures like Joan of Arc, John the Baptist, and Mary Magdalene.
Matty Leschem, the creator of the series, expressed his excitement about the audience’s positive reaction. He noted, “The ‘saints’ exemplify the highest human ideals: courage, sacrifice, and, above all, faith.”
Regarding Scorsese, he’s been a significant figure in the film industry for over 50 years, with notable works including “The Departed,” which earned him an Academy Award for Best Director. His other acclaimed films include “Goodfellas,” “The Wolf of Wall Street,” “Raging Bull,” and “The Irishman.”
The second season of “Martin Scorsese Presents: The Saints” will be split into two parts. The first set of four episodes is set to premiere weekly in November 2025, while the remaining episodes will follow in the spring of 2026.
