Travis Hunter Settles into Jacksonville
Travis Hunter is fitting in just fine in his new Jacksonville neighborhood.
The second overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft recently bought a luxurious home for $3.275 million at the gated Deerwood Country Club.
This spacious property spans 8,125 square feet and includes 13 rooms: five bedrooms, seven bathrooms, and a four-car garage.
Constructed in 1995 and set on 7.5 acres, the estate features a pool and tennis courts, making it quite the catch for Hunter.
He acquired the house through a limited liability company, which he and De La Fuente established shortly before the purchase on May 30.
The couple browsed through numerous properties, exploring 15 homes in Jacksonville before making their decision.
“It felt really special,” noted Stringfellow, one of the listing agents. “He took a moment to express gratitude to the former owners.”
This sale also marks a record for the Deerwood Country Club.
Along with a private theater and wine cellar, the home boasts a considerable backyard and pool area, perfect for entertaining.
Hunter, who won the Heisman Trophy in 2024 while playing in Colorado, has yet to finalize his rookie contract. The deal, valued at $46.571 million over four years, includes a hefty signature bonus of $30 million.
Negotiations may take some time, as indicated by reports.
Before relocating, the couple spent time in a guest house at the Athlete Performance Lunch facility in Fort Worth, Texas, which used to be a cow ranch turned training area for professional athletes.
The Jaguars will kick off their 2025 season against the Carolina Panthers in Jacksonville on September 7.
