Emotions ran high among Taylor Swift fans and critics during her presence at Game 4 of the Stanley Cup final in Florida on Thursday night.
Fans were thrilled to see the 14-time Grammy winner and Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce enjoying the game from a private suite at Amerant Bank Arena, as the Oilers faced off against the Panthers, ultimately winning 5-4 in overtime.
Still, not everyone was thrilled by the constant camera cuts to Swift. I mean, it felt a bit excessive at times, didn’t it?
One frustrated fan pointed out, “If you’re upset about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce being shown, I think that’s on you. They seem so happy, and honestly, that makes me happy too.”
Another account shared a video of the couple entering their suite with a caption that referenced one of Swift’s songs, which seemed to resonate with many.
“TNT gets it. After every goal, we see Taylor and Travis. It’s just how it goes!” said another individual.
But others weren’t as amused. One user lamented the disruption caused by just a few seconds of Swift on screen, while another criticized the continuous focus on her.
Meanwhile, Swift appeared relaxed, sipping her drink and smiling throughout the game.
Occasionally, the couple was seen sharing affectionate moments. They seemed comfortable not just with each other, but also mingling with NHL legend Wayne Gretzky.
There was even a moment when the tension ramped up as the Panthers evened the score in the game, leading to overtime. Swift’s enthusiastic response, alongside Kelce, was captured by the cameras.
It seems Kelce has been spending a lot of time in Florida lately, having made a move to a lavish $20 million mansion there in April.
Earlier this month, the couple was spotted leaving a restaurant hand-in-hand. With Chiefs training camp just around the corner on July 15th, it appears they are making the most of their time together.
