Tucker Carlson, a prominent politician, has intensified his criticism regarding Israel’s military actions against Iran. He has pointed fingers at several media personalities, including former colleagues from Fox News, suggesting they played a role in pushing President Trump to engage more deeply in the conflict.
“Who are the warmongers?” Carlson questioned in a post on social media. “They’re the ones advocating for air strikes in Iran or any sort of military action from the U.S.” He named individuals like Sean Hannity, Mark Levin, Rupert Murdoch, Ike Perlmutter, and Miriam Adelson as part of this group.
Both Hannity and Levin are currently with Fox News, which is owned by Murdoch. Perlmutter has previously served as the CEO of Marvel, while Adelson is a well-known GOP supporter who helped host a reception for Trump’s campaign victory along with Meta’s CEO, Mark Zuckerberg.
Carlson remarked that the divide is not simply between those who support Israel and those who back Iran and the Palestinians. Instead, it’s about those who incite further conflict versus those who wish to avoid it. He voiced these sentiments after leaving Fox in 2022.
Levin, a radio host, has openly opposed Trump’s special envoy to the Middle East, accusing them of negotiating with what he terms a “warm Iranian terrorist regime.” This week, it was reported that Levin, alongside other GOP figures, has called for Trump to back Israeli military actions during private meetings.
In response to Carlson’s accusations, Levin dismissed him as reckless and disingenuous, labeling him a “propagandist.” He further accused Carlson of inciting anti-Semitism.
Recent Israeli attacks have reportedly resulted in the deaths of several of Iran’s key military figures and nuclear scientists. In retaliation, Iran launched ballistic missiles toward Israel, following Trump’s comments about increasing pressure on Iran over stalled nuclear negotiations.
Trump claimed there had already been significant loss of life and destruction, suggesting that even more catastrophic actions were impending. He stated that the U.S. possesses some of the most advanced military technology in the world and assured that Israel would continue to be well-equipped.
Carlson, along with National Intelligence Director Tarshi Gabbard, has raised alarms about the potential for nuclear conflict in recent weeks. He indicated that while the military may not directly engage in strikes, financial support and weapon shipments to Israel are ongoing, which he asserts is a consequence of Washington’s knowledge of the imminent attacks.
In his view, politicians claiming to prioritize American interests are misguided, suggesting that the U.S. is deeply implicated in these ongoing conflicts.
