Pierce Brosnan and Keely Shaye Smith Celebrate Their Long-Lasting Marriage
Pierce Brosnan and Keely Shaye Smith certainly know how to make a relationship work. The actor, best known for his role as James Bond, recently expressed his love for his wife of over two decades, stating, “Keeley and I love each other and are blessed with having each other as companions in this life.” He acknowledged that they’ve managed to create a fulfilling life together.
Brosnan, who stars in the upcoming film “The Unholy Trinity,” shared that marriage often involves problem-solving, referencing everything from household chores to financial planning. He added, “But in the end, we enjoy each other’s company very much.”
The couple, who tied the knot in Ireland in 2001, will be marking their 24th anniversary this August. Brosnan affectionately remarked, “She’s my wingman, always forgiving me as I travel the world for movies. But ultimately, Hawaii is our home.” Speaking of their children, he proudly noted that their family includes Dylan, 28, and Paris, 24, along with Brosnan’s previous children from a late marriage.
Brosnan plays Gabriel Dove in “The Unholy Trinity,” a character who is described as struggling against the odds in a small town in the 1870s. He explained that Dove is an immigrant facing personal challenges while trying to bring order to his community.
When it comes to fatherly advice, Brosnan is straightforward with his sons: “Know your lines.” Paris is currently stepping into acting for the first time, and Brosnan emphasized the importance of preparation and self-management in the industry.
Reflecting on his life, Brosnan spoke fondly of his late wife, Cassandra Harris, who passed away in 1991. He shared that he lost his daughter Charlotte to cancer in 2013. It’s clear that family means everything to him.
Interestingly, Brosnan and Keely’s love story began at a party in 1994, and they quickly started dating. Last year, on their 23rd anniversary, he described her as “my north, my south, my east, and west,” highlighting the depth of their bond.
