David Beckham’s Olive Branch to Brooklyn Amid Family Tensions
It seems that Sir David Beckham is attempting to mend fences with his eldest son, Brooklyn, following their ongoing family disputes.
Over the weekend, he shared a post on Instagram that caught the attention of many. In the comments of a post by his wife, Victoria Beckham, David tagged Brooklyn, celebrating his recent knighthood awarded by King Charles III.
David, who co-owns the Inter Miami soccer team, expressed his love in the comment section: “I love everything about you ❤️@victoriabeckham @brooklynpeltzbeckham @romeobeckham @cruzbeckham #harperseven❤️.”
Victoria highlighted her husband’s achievements in her post, dubbing him a “knight in shining armor” and noting that it’s now official. She stated, “Your country, your work, your passion, and your family remain steadfast.” She added that his kindness and humility impact many lives, making her proud to be his partner.
While David’s remarks came shortly after his other sons, Romeo and Cruz, celebrated him on their own Instagram stories, Brooklyn’s representatives have not yet commented. Romeo shared a sweet moment with his father, expressing pride in him.
It’s worth mentioning that Brooklyn has reportedly been distant from the family lately. Although he hasn’t voiced his feelings publicly regarding David’s honor, sources suggest that he was pleased for his father, recognizing its significance to him. However, it appears Brooklyn and his wife, Nicola Peltz, only found out about David’s knighthood through the media, raising eyebrows about the communication gap within the family.
Since Brooklyn and Nicola’s wedding in 2022, there have been whispers of tension, which resurfaced earlier this year when they opted not to attend David’s 50th birthday celebration. Insiders had noted that the couple had not made an effort to engage with David and Victoria during that time.
