Shady Father’s Day
Gwen Stefani celebrated Father’s Day by explicitly leaving out her ex-husband and the father of her children, Gavin Rossdale, in her Instagram post.
Instead, the 55-year-old singer chose to pay tribute to her current husband, Blake Shelton, along with her father, Dennis Stefani.
“Happy Father’s Day Dad and @blakeshelton!! We love you so much 💙✨,” Stefani wrote, sharing a series of photos featuring Shelton, Dennis, and her sons, Kingston, Zuma, and Apollo.
This omission didn’t go unnoticed by fans, some of whom remarked on Rossdale’s absence from the tribute.
“Poor Gavin,” one fan commented. Others found humor in the situation, pointing out how it appears Stefani consistently ignores Rossdale on this day.
Stefani and the former Bush frontman started dating in 1995 and got married in 2002. They have three sons together but announced their divorce in 2016 amid rumors that Rossdale had cheated on her with their nanny.
Shortly after the split, Stefani began dating Blake Shelton, who was also dealing with his own divorce from Miranda Lambert at the time.
Stefani and Shelton got engaged in 2020 and exchanged vows the following year.
In a candid interview, Stefani once shared how her life felt like it had fallen apart during her divorce from Rossdale, describing it as a major reset.
Reflecting on their past, Rossdale remarked in an exclusive interview how life can be unpredictable. He called their sons “the greatest gift of life,” indicating that while their marriage may have ended, their children remain a significant connection.
Recently, Rossdale mentioned on a podcast that he often finds himself at industry events alongside Stefani and Shelton, suggesting he has come to terms with their new family dynamic.
