Kelsey Grammer’s family is set to expand.
Kayte Walsh, the 70-year-old actor’s wife, is reportedly expecting their fourth child together. This baby marks Kelsey’s eighth overall.
“Kelsey is thrilled about having the chance to really embrace fatherhood once again,” a source shared. “He’s been incredibly supportive of Kayte during this pregnancy.”
The insider added that after completing his role in “Frasier,” Kelsey feels ready for this new phase in his life. He seems to be looking forward to actively participating in parenting, something he feels he might have missed before.
Snapshots obtained show Walsh, 46, and Grammer enjoying a stroll in London, both appearing quite happy. In one photo, Kayte is seen in a flowing navy dress.
The couple was accompanied by their three children: Faith, 12, Gabriel, 10, and James, who is 8.
Kelsey’s representative hasn’t yet responded to requests for comments.
Grammer and Walsh tied the knot in 2011 after meeting in 2009 on a flight. Previously, Kelsey was married to Camille Grammer, with whom he shares a daughter, Mason, 23, and a son, Jude, 20. They married in 1997, but their relationship ended in 2010, resulting in a significant divorce settlement.
Kelsey, who has been married three times already, first wed Doreen Alderman in 1982, welcoming their daughter Spencer before divorcing in 1990. He also had a short marriage with Leigh-Anne Csuhany from 1992 to 1993. During his earlier marriages, he fathered another daughter, Greer, with his then-girlfriend Barry Buckner.
Reflecting on his past, Kelsey admitted in 2018 that he regrets some choices he made regarding his family life while busy with work. He described his perspective as an older dad, saying it allows him a chance to engage in fatherhood again—he sees it as a true gift.
As Kelsey continues to navigate fatherhood, he mentioned in a 2022 interview that he and Spencer have managed to mend their relationship, indicating progress after having a “hot and cold” history.
