Group Pulling the Strings: Marsha Blackburn Discusses Why Democrats Didn't Stand Up for Biden

Sen. Marsha Blackburn Critiques Democrats’ Absence at Hearing

On Wednesday, Republican Senator Marsha Blackburn from Tennessee remarked that Democrats missed a significant chance to rally behind former President Joe Biden.

A Senate Judiciary Subcommittee convened to delve into claims suggesting that Biden’s aides may have concealed issues related to his mental fitness, allegations that both Biden and his staff have denied. While appearing on “Editing the Evening,” Blackburn pointed out the strategic absence of Democrats at the hearing, attributing it to what she called “the Cabal Behind the Curtain.”

“My main point is that Democrats didn’t show up,” Blackburn expressed to host Elizabeth MacDonald. “They were absent, not there to defend Joe Biden, not there to engage or pose questions, and it feels like many Democrats and Biden’s cabinet, along with the media, just covered for him.”

She further stated that it was apparent to her—and many Americans—that Biden wasn’t fully in control of the decisions being made.

“Behind the curtain, there was a Cabal orchestrating everything. They were all aware of it. Now, with the emergence of various books, people are beginning to see the reality for themselves,” Blackburn noted. “I know many folks in Tennessee and across the nation who are witnessing these developments firsthand.”

In May, Alex Thompson from Axios and Jake Tapper from CNN published a book that depicted Biden struggling severely during a closed, scripted town hall, to the extent that the footage was considered unusable for his campaign.

Blackburn emphasized that Americans can observe Biden’s mental and physical deterioration and suspect that someone else is in charge. “They can see that he can’t perform his job properly, both mentally and physically, leading to the impression that someone else is managing the situation,” she added.

The House Oversight Committee previously indicated that four aides from the Biden administration had agreed to participate in interviews and transcription. These discussions are significant to Chairman James Comer’s ongoing investigation into allegations concerning Biden’s cognitive decline during his presidency.
