The ultimate petty revenge.
When someone finds out their ex is unfaithful, sometimes the reaction can be, well, a bit dramatic. You know, they might resort to dyeing clothes or maybe they’d key a car—classic revenge tropes, right?
But one woman took things to a different level when she learned about her cheating partner. Instead of targeting his belongings, she focused on her Netflix account, which—yeah, that’s a unique take.
She shared her story on Reddit, where she described how her ex had created a new profile on her account and dared to watch shows they used to enjoy together—using her subscription, of course!
In her own words, she said, “I didn’t yell or take back access, but I switched my profile to ‘con’ and put it in toddler mode. No violence, just a quirky twist. The new avatar was a sad-looking cartoon monkey.”
There’s an undeniable humor in what happened next. She learned that, despite his dishonesty, he tried to play it cool—his reaction was, “seriously?”
After that, she changed her password and blocked him. “Let him deal with cartoons and losers. I’ll watch ‘Bridgerton’ in peace,” she humorously concluded.
The responses on Reddit were just as entertaining, with others recounting their own tales involving streaming services and similar ‘revenge’ tactics. One user mentioned locking their ex out of their Amazon account due to financial irresponsibility. Another shared how they let an ex use an account before eventually changing the password after a winter snowfall.
Interestingly, one commenter recounted changing Spotify settings post-breakup, opting for low-quality streaming and creating a playlist titled “I Miss [Ex Name]” filled with some not-so-nice tunes.
Netflix revenge isn’t the only tactic people use, though—some have opted for more personal gestures. Melissa Viegas, for instance, discovered her ex was cheating when she saw him receiving messages from another girl.
To express her feelings, she cut those messages from his phone and placed them in a card labeled “I’m sorry for your loss.” She even went to his workplace to present it to him. Unforgettable moment, right? He opened it and just stared—that’s one way to teach someone a lesson.
