Tommy DeVito Enjoying Time with Giants’ Quarterback Room
Tommy DeVito has been having a great time with his fellow quarterbacks, which include Russell Wilson, Jameis Winston, and rookie Jackson Dart. Interestingly, DeVito is the only one from the previous lineup.
This group definitely showcases a mix in age. Wilson, at 36, and Winston, who is 31, both have families. In contrast, DeVito is 26 and single, while Dart is 22 and also not in a relationship.
“I wouldn’t necessarily call them ‘older,’ but Jameis and Russ are a bit more seasoned, while Jaxson and I represent the younger side. It’s a fun mix,” DeVito said on Wednesday. “Jaxson and I even joked about going on ‘Love Island’—who knows what might happen,” he added with a chuckle.
Did DeVito just hint at some entertainment news?
Well, he did confess that he and Dart sometimes unwind by watching “Love Island.” “Not every night, of course, but now and then after a long day,” he admitted, laughing.
It remains uncertain if DeVito will be part of the Giants in 2025.
He gained popularity and made quite an impression during the 2023 season when he started three consecutive games, creating quite the buzz around his “Tommy Cutlets” persona, which resonated well with New Jersey fans.
“I always intended to be here, especially as a rookie,” DeVito shared. “But right now, I’m just concentrating on the present and where I currently am. I’m enjoying this break before heading into training camp.”
Wide receiver Malik Nabers has been absent from spring practices. The Giants noted that he’s being cautious about an issue with one of his toes, an ongoing problem he dealt with while at LSU. Head coach Brian Daboll mentioned he isn’t worried about Nabers missing time as training camp gets underway on July 22nd.
“Everyone has their own situation. We’re just trying to ensure he stays as healthy as possible, which we believe is part of rehabilitation,” Daboll commented.
In other news, running back Cam Skattebo has officially joined the 2025 draft class, signing a rookie contract. Skattebo was the Giants’ fourth-round pick, selected at 105th overall, and secured a four-year deal worth $5.27 million.
