Dodgers assert they denied ICE entry to stadium, ICE challenges the visit took place

On Thursday, the Los Angeles Dodgers made a statement claiming they had refused entry to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents at Dodger Stadium.

“This morning, ICE agents came to Dodger Stadium and requested permission to access the parking lots. They were denied entry to the grounds by the organization. Tonight’s game will be played as scheduled,” the Dodgers announced on social media.

However, ICE quickly countered these claims, labeling them as “false” and asserting that no ICE personnel were at the stadium.

Adding to the clarification, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) stated that any federal presence nearby was unrelated to immigration enforcement.

“This had nothing to do with the Dodgers,” DHS clarified. “CBP vehicles were in the stadium parking lot very briefly, unrelated to any operation or enforcement.”

It’s worth noting that Customs and Border Protection (CBP) operates separately from ICE. Social media buzzed with images of CBP vehicles near the stadium on Thursday.

The DHS also issued a statement highlighting the alarming number of assaults officers have encountered while on duty in the area.
