Young Conservative Women Define Their Values at Leadership Summit

Young women from across the U.S. gathered for the 2025 Young Women’s Leadership Summit (YWLS) to share what it means to identify as conservative in today’s climate. They conveyed that being a conservative woman involves understanding and embracing their values, even when they aren’t widely accepted.

Kelly, from Texas, expressed that for her, being conservative involves upholding both American and God-given values. It seems to resonate deeply with her sense of identity.

At the summit, which took place from June 13-15 in Dallas, Texas, speakers included notable conservative figures like Charlie Kirk, founder of Turning Point USA, Lila Rose, a pro-life advocate, and Riley Gaze, a women’s rights activist and former NCAA swimmer.

Brianna, another attendee from Texas, shared her pride in the Republican Party’s representation of her values, stating it feels very close to home.

Zariya, also hailing from Texas, highlighted that being conservative encompasses loving one’s country and being empowered to express one’s thoughts freely.

Natasha, who traveled from Chicago, mentioned the importance of living by one’s values and staying true to one’s faith, no matter where one might be.

Tallinn, a Los Angeles native, brought attention to areas like economics and parental rights as significant aspects of conservative values. Emma from Florida described conservative women as strong and resilient yet nurturing.

Many participants emphasized that conservatism is about standing firm in one’s beliefs rather than succumbing to peer pressure. Florida’s Kate articulated this sentiment: it’s about having strong values and resisting the temptation to conform.

Gabriel, originally from Texas but currently in Colorado, noted that being a conservative woman means upholding one’s faith, even if it’s unpopular in certain circles. Cathy from Texas reiterated the significance of voicing one’s values and being truthful.

Several attendees highlighted the central role of their Christian beliefs in defining their conservatism. Jacinda from Pennsylvania reflected that principles from the Bible resonate strongly in her life and beliefs as a conservative woman.

Grace from Florida added that traditional values derived from the Bible can guide all life aspects, creating a foundation for one’s family while sharing a deeper spiritual message.
