Ex-'super mayor' Henyard promoting tell-all book amidst ongoing lawsuits

Former Mayor Ventures into Publishing Amid Legal Troubles

The former Democratic “Super Mayor” of Dalton, Tiffany Henyard, has recently unveiled a new business endeavor as she grapples with ongoing legal challenges from her time in office. She’s set to release an autobiography titled “Standing on Business,” which she claims will provide “The Real Story” of her experiences.

Henyard made the announcement via a Facebook post, sharing a link for pre-orders at a steep $99 price. Interestingly, this autobiography is intended to be the first of a three-part series on a self-publishing platform.

While she seems excited about her new project, local residents are expressing skepticism. Comments on social media highlight concerns, with one resident lamenting, “We’re still slugging money!” Another pointed out that even Michelle Obama’s bestseller came at a lower price.

Henyard’s legal troubles have been mounting since her tenure as mayor. Just recently, she invoked the Fifth Amendment during a court session where she failed to produce public records. Her lawyer has previously stated that a smear campaign against her continues despite her leaving office.

As she navigates these issues, Henyard is also under scrutiny for not providing financial records during her time as mayor, a situation that has drawn attention from watchdog groups. A lawsuit has been filed against her for failing to comply with requests for information under the Freedom of Information Act.

Compounding these challenges, her administration was reportedly under investigation by the FBI for corruption, although she has not faced any charges. After losing her bid for reelection earlier this year, during which she faced criticism and financial scrutiny, federal authorities also issued a summons for records related to a land development project that involved her boyfriend.

The financial state of Dalton appears to have deteriorated significantly under her leadership, with reports indicating a drastic reduction in bank account balances. As the community reflects on her controversial tenure, Henyard’s new venture into writing has stirred mixed feelings among constituents, caught between skepticism and curiosity about her forthcoming autobiography.
