Pro-Palestinian Protestors Disrupt Penn Station in NYC

On Saturday, pro-Palestinian demonstrators made their way into Penn Station in New York City during a rally titled “Globalize The Intifada.”

The gathering began at Union Square Park, where participants voiced their opposition to Israel’s ongoing conflicts in the Middle East. Some were seen waving Palestinian flags and chanting “Gaza,” as shared on social media.

As the march progressed through downtown Manhattan, the crowd shouted slogans like “Free Palestine” and “Globalize the Intifada.” The term “Intifada” refers to the uprisings by Palestinians against Israel’s presence in the West Bank and Gaza.

They were also heard chanting “No KKK, no fascist USA” during the march.

The demonstration eventually escalated when protesters entered Penn Station and overtook Moynihan Train Station. The chants of “Gaza” and waving of flags intensified as they took over the area.

Moving through the food court of Moynihan Train Station, protestors chanted, “While you’re eating, Gaza’s bleeding.”

In addition, they later echoed other lines like “While you’re shopping, bombs are dropping” and “Free, free Palestine.”

This protest occurs in the backdrop of a long-standing conflict that reignited on October 7, 2023, when Hamas initiated an attack on Israel, leading to considerable casualties. The Israeli response involved airstrikes and ground operations in Gaza. By June 2025, the toll had risen significantly, with over 54,000 fatalities in Gaza and losses of more than 1,700 Israelis. The situation remains critical, showing a devastating impact on both sides.
