Nicole Curtis Returns to HGTV with New Renovation Series
HGTV personality Nicole Curtis is set to kick off a fresh home renovation project this summer, following a challenging three years in her personal life.
While she hasn’t disclosed the specifics of what she termed a “set-off,” she did mention it prompted her to re-evaluate her priorities. She described it as a deep and moving experience.
“I experienced something that really hit home for me,” Curtis shared recently. “It was a moment that changed everything. I prayed for clarity, and it was just incredibly tough for me. I had to make some immediate decisions. It was either we tackle this head-on, or it’ll linger for a long time.”
This marks her return to HGTV for the second time after taking a break. Previously, she had stepped away from 2018 to 2022, returning with a spinoff called Rehabilitation Addict Rescue. Now, she’s back for the ninth season of Rehabilitation Addict.
Curtis hasn’t gone into detail about what she did during her three-year hiatus, but she noted in a recent social media post that it took time to build her own production company, create new shows, and renovate two homes located miles apart.
The renovation project she’s excited to unveil involves a house she found while traveling in July 2022. Curtis revealed that she purchased an 1890s home in Wyoming after her European plans went awry. Instead of continuing her travels, she pivoted back to Wyoming to begin this new chapter.
Fans can look forward to watching her restore this historic home, which she describes as needing significant care and love. “This house needed me just as much as I needed it,” she expressed.
In addition to the Wyoming project, she’s also tackling what she calls “one of the dirtiest abandoned houses” she’s ever encountered, according to a press release.
New episodes will be available for streaming the day after they air on HBO Max and Discovery+. Rehabilitation Addict is set to premiere on HGTV at 9 PM ET on June 24.
