I Don’t Want Change in Iran's Leadership, It Causes Too Much Disorder

Trump Comments on Iran

On Tuesday, President Donald Trump informed reporters that he does not wish for a “change of government” in Iran.

When asked if there was a desire for a “change of administration,” Trump kept it short, saying just two words that many have associated with ongoing conflicts from past administrations.

“I want to see everything settle down as quickly as possible,” the president stated. “A change of government leads to confusion. Ideally, I don’t want to see that much chaos.”

He mentioned, “So we’ll see how it goes,” during a flight on Air Force 1 to the NATO summit in the Netherlands.

In private discussions, Trump expressed his intent to prevent Iran from changing its regime.

Recently, Trump announced that the U.S. had conducted a “very successful attack” on three Iranian nuclear facilities: Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan.

According to reports, the mission to target the Fordow site, hidden deep in the mountains, required a specific type of bomber and an enormous weapon not available to Israel.

On Monday, Trump noted that Israel and Iran had reached a “complete ceasefire,” which he believed would take effect within hours, potentially ending hostilities between the two nations.

However, Trump’s patience seemed to be running thin. Before boarding the Air Force, he criticized both nations for violating the ceasefire.

“Israel, right after we made a deal, launched multiple attacks. I’m not pleased with Israel. When you say, ‘Okay, I have 12 hours now,’ you don’t just go out and bomb immediately,” he remarked.

“I’m not happy with them [Israel]. I’m not pleased with Iran either,” Trump added, referring to an unlanded Iranian rocket that he described as troubling.

He commented on the ongoing conflict, stating, “Essentially, there are two countries that have been fighting for so long and I don’t know what they’re up to.”

Trump emphatically urged Israel, “Don’t drop these bombs. If so, that’s a major violation. Return the pilot home now!”

On Tuesday morning, he redirected focus to domestic matters, expressing his goal of “making America great again.” He emphasized the urgency to finalize a significant legislative bill that he believes would benefit citizens and lead the country to a prosperous era.

“If you need me in the Senate, lock me in a room, don’t go home, and get the deal done this week,” he urged.
