FBI starts investigations into three children's hospitals regarding child gender surgeries: Report

Investigation into Hospitals Over Gender Transition Procedures

Recently, medical advocacy groups have raised concerns about a lack of collaboration among health professionals, hospital administrators, patients, and policy makers regarding what they term DEI brand racism and gender ideology within medicine.

To take action, an effort has been initiated through the Stop the Harm database. In October, this database identified medical facilities that administer sterilizations and chemical treatments to vulnerable children.

Notably, the FBI is now conducting investigations into three of the most prominent offenders listed in the database: Boston Children’s Hospital, Colorado Children’s Hospital, and Los Angeles Children’s Hospital. This was highlighted in a recent report from Fox News Digital.

FBI Director Kash Patel seemed to lend credibility to the anonymous claims by retweeting a post on X about the ongoing investigations.

According to the Stop Harm Database, Boston Children’s Hospital has offered gender-affirming treatments to patients ranging from 3 to 25 years old. Between 2017 and 2020, the hospital reportedly performed 204 sex reassignment surgeries, including a vaginoplasty on a 17-year-old without parental consent. Many others were administered sterilizing hormones and puberty blockers.

Similarly, Children’s Hospital Colorado has a history of providing puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones to minors. Although the hospital announced a halt to surgical procedures for sex reassignment in 2023, chemical treatments continued unabated.

The True Center for Gender Diversity at Colorado Hospital states on its website that “gender-affirming care doesn’t look the same for everyone,” without specifying a minimum age for sexual transition treatments.

All three hospitals are among the “dirty dozen” list of facilities accused of promoting sex change treatments for minors.

The Los Angeles Children’s Hospital has claimed to have treated a patient as young as three and has been criticized for high charges related to hormonal therapies and surgical alterations for minors.

Recent reports in the Los Angeles Times indicate that this center currently serves over 3,000 patients.

Medical director Joanna Olson Kennedy at LA Center has publicly indicated a belief that psychological assessments are not always necessary for patients seeking sexual alterations. Reports suggest the center has provided hormonal treatments to children as young as 12 and even facilitated double mastectomies for 13-year-old girls, ignoring long-term research on the effectiveness of puberty blockers.

Ultimately, due to the executive order issued by Trump, the Los Angeles Children’s Hospital closed its sex reassignment center on July 22.

The FBI is investigating possible violations tied to 18USC§116, which prohibits female genital mutilation against minors.

Attorney General Pam Bondy brought attention to a memo issued on April 22, instructing the Department of Justice staff to take stringent actions against anyone exploiting vulnerable children under Trump’s executive order regarding chemical and surgical alterations.

Bondy emphasized that in the U.S., attempts to perform female genital mutilation on anyone under 18 are felonies, directing U.S. attorneys to investigate and prosecute any suspected cases related to this practice or any “gender-affirming care” that could be classified as such.

Leaked documents from the British World Professionals Association for Transgender Health suggest that gender-affirming care is based on misleading claims and can significantly harm vulnerable patients.

Furthermore, bondi warned that the DOJ would scrutinize healthcare providers who mislead the public about the long-term effects of these surgeries and treatments.

Dr. Stanley Goldfarb from Do No Harm expressed that Boston Children’s Hospital, Colorado Children’s Hospital, and Los Angeles Children’s Hospital are key targets for investigation. He anticipates collaboration with the DOJ to identify hospitals responsible for causing irreversible harm to minors.

In a follow-up report, Children’s Hospital Los Angeles did not respond to queries about the investigations. Boston Children’s reported no notifications from the FBI regarding any alleged violations, while Colorado Children’s denied ever performing sex reassignment surgeries on minors.

The FBI, on its end, has remained tight-lipped, refusing to confirm or comment on the ongoing investigation.
