Sen. Tuberville’s Remarks on U.S. Airstrikes

During a segment on FBN’s “Evening Edit” on Tuesday, Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) discussed the impact of President Donald Trump’s ordered airstrikes on Iran.

He stated that Iran is currently “running,” as expressed by the senator from Alabama.

When asked about his thoughts on President Trump’s decision to attack Iran, Tuberville reflected on the significant operation involving seven B-2 bombers that operated in near-complete radio silence for hours. He noted that over 125 U.S. aircraft participated in the strike and was prompted to share his reaction to the news.

Tuberville asserted, “First of all, President Trump had the courage to do it. Barack Obama sought to reward Iran with $1.7 billion. Joe Biden halted sanctions and provided funding, then withdrew forces at Bagram Air Base, but President Trump decisively struck them, with Iran having planned for this for years.”

Following a mention of condemnations against Iran’s retaliatory strike from almost a dozen Middle Eastern countries, host Elizabeth MacDonald noted that Hezbollah had not yet taken action either.

Tuberville remarked, “If you observe the global dynamics regarding President Trump and the U.S., it’s clear that they understand we possess world power. They recognize our strength and are more likely to stand with us than with Iran. Many may have questioned his decisions before, but actions like this demonstrate that we don’t need Iran’s interference.”
