Cristiano Ronaldo’s latest contract features a daily payment of $670,000 and a private jet.

Cristiano Ronaldo Signs Monumental Contract in Saudi Arabia

Cristiano Ronaldo has secured one of the most financially rewarding contracts in sports history.

The 40-year-old Portuguese forward has extended his contract with Al Nassar, a club in Saudi Arabia, for two more years, totaling a staggering $675 million. Additionally, he reportedly received over $33 million as a signing bonus, which could rise to $52 million if he stays for the second year.

Alongside this, Ronaldo has been granted a 15% stake in Club Al Nassar, valued at more than $45 million. Factoring in bonuses and other incentives, his total potential earnings could exceed $685 million.

But, you know, it’s not all about money. Ronaldo employs 16 staff members to assist him and his family, plus he has access to private jets throughout the duration of his contract.

There was speculation that Ronaldo might leave at the end of last season when he posted a cryptic message on social media on May 26.

In his most recent update, he acknowledged the post and confirmed the extension, stating, “A new chapter is beginning. Same passion, same dreams. Let’s make history together.”

Some fans thought he’d aim to join a team that was contending in the Club World Cup.

However, opinions appear to have shifted after Portugal clinched the UEFA Nations League final against Spain via penalty shootout.

Ronaldo expressed, “The ambitions I feel are not having a finish line. It’s consistency, commitment, collective work that makes us better. That’s the task I’m working on. We’re starting a new chapter!”

His sole championship success with Al Nassar was the 2023 Arab Club Champions Cup.

It’s worth noting that Al Nassar’s struggles on the pitch haven’t solely stemmed from Ronaldo’s performance; he has netted 93 goals in 105 matches with the club, earning two golden boots in the Saudi Arabian professional league.

With Ronaldo signed for another two years, questions linger about whether Al Nassar can secure their first SPL title since the superstar’s arrival in 2022.
