Travis Kelce Takes on Acting Role in “Happy Gilmore 2”

Travis Kelce, known for his skills on the football field as a tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, is set to showcase his acting abilities this summer. He will feature in the much-anticipated sequel, “Happy Gilmore 2.”

Christopher McDonald returns to reprise his classic role as Shooter McGavin. Recently, McDonald spoke about how Kelce performed during filming, expressing a positive impression of the football star.

In a conversation with a news outlet, McDonald described Kelce as not only funny but also very likable. “He’s just too handsome,” he added, but he didn’t hold back in complimenting Kelce’s acting chops, highlighting him as “surprisingly good.”

McDonald also noted that Kelce has some notable skills on the golf course, which adds an interesting layer to his performance in the film.

Reflecting on his experience, Kelce previously shared how being part of the film felt like a dream come true. He mentioned how he once thought his peak in entertainment would be related to Saturday Night Live, but joining forces with Adam Sandler and the production team for “Happy Gilmore” has been a thrilling experience.

The sequel, which picks up from the original 1996 sports comedy, is expected to hit Netflix on July 25.
