President Donald Trump continues to express optimism about his administration’s achievements. Recently, he demonstrated his commitment to this sentiment.
The situation began with a negotiated ceasefire between Israel and Iran. At Trump’s urging, the two nations agreed to halt hostilities towards one another, and despite some initial confusion, they maintained their pledge.
According to reports, Trump stated that Israel and Iran had reached a “complete ceasefire” following a 12-day conflict between the two. He celebrated this development on social media, noting, “Congratulations to everyone. It has been fully agreed that there will be a complete ceasefire between Israel and Iran for 12 hours—the war is over!”
He further elaborated that Iran had initiated the ceasefire, with Israel set to do the same shortly after. The end of the 12-day conflict was framed as a nod to the world.
Trump also commended both nations for their agreement on the ceasefire, hoping that everything would progress as expected.
He added, “This conflict has been ongoing for years and could have destabilized the entire Middle East, but it hasn’t, nor will it!”
In addition, there has been an increase in NATO spending during his tenure.
Trump celebrated what he described as a “historic… monumental victory” for the US, Europe, and Western nations, particularly as NATO agreed to raise military spending, satisfying his calls for members to meet new GDP spending thresholds.
He shared his thoughts during a press conference in the Netherlands, highlighting the productive nature of the recent NATO summit and reflecting on the changes in European defense strategies.
The key outcome of the Hague Summit was the establishment of new defense expenditure floors for member states, which significantly increased from 2% to 5% of GDP, incorporating spending types not previously counted as defense-related.
Trump’s advocacy for heightened spending garnered enthusiasm from him and his supporters.
The week also witnessed significant judicial successes for Trump. He referred to a recent decision by the U.S. Supreme Court as a “huge victory” that limited the power of subordinate judges amid a 6-3 vote.
In his remarks, he mentioned the implications for birthright citizenship and praised his legal team for their work.
The ruling directs lower courts to define the process for national injunctions more narrowly. The ongoing legal issues around automatic citizenship for children of undocumented immigrants remain unresolved.
Further successes came as the Senate moved forward with votes that align with Trump’s legislative agenda, particularly regarding immigration, national security, and the economy. This initiative even extends his 2017 tax cuts.
Investors reacted positively to these developments, as U.S. stocks reached new highs on Friday, reflecting widespread optimism about the Trump administration’s recent accomplishments.
Are people still feeling the effects of continued winning?
