Democrat Strategist Directly Labels Zohran Mamdani as 'Antisemitic'

Controversy Surrounds NYC Mayoral Candidate Zoran Mamdani

A former member of Hillary Clinton’s campaign finance team expressed feelings of sadness if Fox News host Harris Faulkner’s comments regarding Zoran Mamdani, the Democratic candidate for New York City mayor, were true. Mamdani has been accused of exhibiting “anti-Semitism.” He secured his position as the Democratic nominee in the June 24 primary, succeeding former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo. Al Motter discussed these topics with Faulkner on “Faulkner Focus,” noting Mamdani’s primary focus on the high cost of living in the city, while also labeling him naive and anti-Semitic.

Motter stated, “Housing costs are a major political topic, and he addresses it, but there’s a significant issue here. This man is anti-Semitic. It would be unfortunate if he were to win the mayoral election.” He also pointed out that Mamdani referred to violence as “an artificial structure,” claiming that such a perspective is misguided. Motter added, “When someone commits a crime against you or your family, it’s definitely not artificial. I recall how many Democrats wanted to defund the police after the summer riots a while back. We can’t head down that path again.”

In another instance, during an interview with Kristen Welker on “Meet the Press,” Mamdani chose not to denounce the term “globalization of intifadas” on several occasions. He further stated intentions to arrest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu if he visited New York City and defended the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) Movement.

Tiffany Smiley, a former Republican Senate candidate, criticized Mamdani’s platform, saying he proposed extreme measures like abolishing the police, medical expenses, and private health insurance, as well as Israel itself. She claimed that Harris Faulkner found it notable that congressional Democrats seem to be distancing themselves from Mamdani.

Smiley also remarked that today’s moderate Democrats feel out of place, stating, “The current Democratic Party has become communist, anti-Semitic, with fundamentally radical policies.”

As part of his campaign to secure a Democratic nomination to face off against current NYC Mayor Eric Adams, Mamdani advocated for increased taxes in predominantly white neighborhoods.

Faulkner pointed out the stark contrast in Democratic viewpoints, humorously reflecting on the party’s current direction: “It seems like Democrats want to save the wolves while sacrificing the sheep. I’ve never seen such dynamics in New York.”
