Brett Cooper: From Child Actor to Conservative Media Star
Brett Cooper, once a child actor, has gained significant traction online, especially among conservative audiences, with her commentary on various political and cultural matters. Her social media presence has amassed millions of followers and subscribers.
Recently, Cooper spoke with Fox News Digital about her media journey and upcoming podcast, just ahead of her live show in Atlanta, Georgia. She has recently joined as a contributor to Fox News Media.
During her time at UCLA, Cooper felt misaligned with the political climate on campus, as well as in Los Angeles overall.
People Now Have a Voice in New Ways
“At UCLA, I was eager to understand production and Hollywood, but, well, I had no interest in acting anymore,” she reflected.
As she began creating her own videos, Cooper drew the attention of the conservative media. “I’ve been in contact with organizations like Pragel,” she mentioned.
While working on a project for Pragel, she caught the interest of The Daily Wire, and her career noticeably took off from that point. In January, she launched “The Brett Cooper Show.”
Cooper noted, “My family always discussed politics and values openly during dinner, but I was never really engaged in the news myself.”
As she navigated UCLA, she found herself reassessing her political beliefs. “There, I encountered people who were deeply passionate about those issues, which pushed me to rethink the values I grew up with. It was sort of a turning point for me,” she said.
Initially, Cooper hesitated to prioritize politics in her life. “I didn’t want it to dominate my personality, especially since many of my friends leaned left,” she admitted.
Nonetheless, the political divide on campus was unmistakable to her. “One memorable moment was at a party when someone handed me a ‘Communist Manifesto’ with a smile, encouraging me to read it,” she recalled.
In 2020, during the Covid lockdown in Los Angeles, she shared a video on Instagram that captured her distress at the situation. “At one point, I was so overwhelmed that I tossed my phone across the room,” she shared.
Now, Cooper aims to foster dialogue and offer a fresh perspective. “I’m not trying to change minds, but I do hope to encourage understanding and perhaps help people see things in a different light,” she explained.
Providing cultural, social, and political commentary, Cooper is active on all Fox News Media platforms. Her podcast, “The Brett Cooper Show,” has bled into social media, where she has over 9 million followers. Known for her insightful take and wit, she occupies a space appealing to Gen Z conservatives.
In January, she appeared on Jesse Watters Primetime, discussing shifts in the media landscape. “There’s a hunger among young people for authentic, honest voices—they’re tired of hearing the same traditional experts,” she said.
Cooper has completed her studies at UCLA and currently resides in Tennessee with her husband.
