Cameron Brink’s Latest Magazine Shoot Sparks Reactions
Los Angeles Sparks player Cameron Brink is making headlines again, this time for her recent magazine photoshoot. In May, one striking image featured her with an open jacket and a cigarette, which many found bold.
Brink’s mother, Shelley, expressed her surprise when she saw the pictures. “It really shocked me. I honestly thought she was holding a cigarette,” she shared, reflecting on her daughter’s unconventional choices in front of the camera. This sentiment appears to echo in Brink’s own recounting of the experience as she candidly admitted to wandering around in the buff during the shoot.
“There were mostly women and some guys there—I think it was fine,” Brink remarked. The athlete has engaged in numerous photoshoots, including notable ones for Sports Illustrated. She mentioned her openness to different ideas that come up during these creative sessions. “I really trust the team, and I think it’s stimulating to explore different artistic visions,” she noted.
The latest buzz also stirred some playful commentary about fellow players in the league, with Kate Linklark humorously ranked as the ninth best all-star guard, prompting laughter across social media.
Shelley later praised Brink for her comfort in her own skin. Brink herself remarked on the casualness of being an athlete, saying, “In the locker room, it’s just normal to be naked.” She even joked about tricking her mother into thinking she might go fully nude for a shoot. “I asked her, ‘Wait, what does nude mean? Like fully exposed?’” But rest assured, Brink clarified she would not go completely bare.
Despite all the attention, Brink hasn’t yet taken to the court this season due to a torn ACL she suffered during her fifteenth WNBA game last year. As the second overall pick in the draft, she remains a significant player to watch moving forward.
