Kirk on Trump, DeSantis, and Musk Relations

Charlie Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA, spoke on Tuesday about the recent settlement between President Donald Trump and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. He suggested this could indicate that Trump will mend his relationship with Elon Musk.

The tension between Trump and Musk resurfaced recently when Musk voiced his support for Representative Thomas Massey, whom Trump intends to oust in the upcoming midterms. Kirk pointed out, however, that despite their past rivalry during the Republican primary, Trump and DeSantis appeared to be in good spirits during their recent visit to “Crocodile Alcatraz.”

“At first glance, it may seem like there’s no way for Trump and Musk to come together after all this. But Trump has a history of rallying with those initially considered adversaries,” Kirk reflected. “Musk is patriotic. Maybe he’s got the potential to launch a new political party. And yes, that might assist Democrats—but we wouldn’t want to see the country fall apart, right?”

Musk indicated that if Trump’s significant bill passes, he would establish an “American Party” the next day.

Kirk noted, “Politics can be rough, and it’s normal for Trump to feel a bit frustrated sometimes. But he’s reconciled with others in the past.” He added that they all hope Musk and Trump can work together. “Just look at the situation with Trump and DeSantis. They were once fierce rivals—now they’re working together.” Kirk emphasized that their relationship has dramatically improved.

He concluded by reinforcing the idea that Trump and DeSantis have made significant strides in their partnership since the primary, suggesting a possible reconciliation with Musk is on the horizon as well.
