Charlize Theron Discusses Her Dating Preferences

Charlize Theron recently shared her thoughts on dating, expressing that she has “zero interest” in pursuing relationships with other actors in Hollywood.

Appearing on Alex Cooper’s podcast “Call Her Daddy,” Theron, 49, made her feelings clear. “No, my god. No, no, no,” she responded when asked if she sought a partner within the industry.

She elaborated, explaining, “I don’t think it’s wise to date someone in my line of work. It’s not that it’s impossible. I’m just not convinced it’s a good idea for me.” This sentiment reflects her unique perspective as a single mother to two adopted daughters, Jackson and another child, both of whom she cherishes deeply.

“I don’t need to share them with anyone,” she remarked, highlighting her desire for privacy. “My daughters are all I need; no one is moving into our home.” Theron appears comfortable in her current situation, mentioning that she is not rushing into marriage but remains open to long-term commitment.

She noted, “I’m not missing out on a relationship as you might think.” This stance adds nuance to her understanding of partnerships.

During the podcast, Theron also recounted her experiences with one-night stands. “I probably had three in my life,” she admitted, sharing a recent encounter with a 26-year-old that left a positive impression. “I thought, ‘Oh, this is great. I get it now.'” She reflected on how these experiences differ from her earlier years.

“I should have done this in my 20s,” she mused, asserting that she’s enjoying a more fulfilling sex life now than she did when she was younger.

Over the years, Theron has been involved in several notable relationships. She dated Craig Bierko from 1995 to 1997, then had a romance with Stephen Jenkins until 2001. Shortly after, she began a long-term relationship with Stuart Townsend, which lasted until 2009. Her most recent official relationship was with Sean Penn, starting in 2013 but ending after two years.
