On Thursday, the Trump administration published its annual report disclosing the salaries of all White House employees. The pay scales range, with the lowest salary starting at $59,070 and the highest reaching $225,700, without any gaps in salary acceptance.
The highest earner in the White House is Jacalynne Klopp, a senior advisor who receives $225,700. In second place is Edgar Mukrichian, a deputy lawyer, earning $203,645. There’s also a notable group of 33 employees making $195,200, which includes well-known figures like Caroline Leavitt, the White House press secretary, as well as Tom Homan, Susan Wills, Peter Navarro, Stephen Chen, and Stephen Miller.
The report indicates that speechwriters earn between $92,500 and $121,500, while there are ten employees with salaries ranging from $59,000 to $80,000. Interestingly, eight employees receive no payment at all, though some of them have overlapping duties in other government divisions.
Marco Rubio, currently Secretary of State, is noted as not receiving any compensation for his role as national security advisor. Meanwhile, Envoy Steve Witkoff is compensated through the State Department rather than the White House.
Trump’s salary isn’t listed in the report, but federal law states that the presidential salary includes a base of $400,000, along with an additional $50,000 for expenses, $100,000 for travel, and $19,000 for entertainment purposes.
During his first term, Trump donated his salary to various government agencies, but it remains uncertain whether he will continue this practice if he secures a second term.
