Conor McGregor offers to help with possible UFC event at the White House

President Donald Trump has suggested hosting a UFC event at the White House on July 4th, sparking interest from notable fighters.

He mentioned this idea during a celebration for Independence Day, and two prominent UFC stars expressed their willingness to compete that day.

Conor McGregor, a supporter of Trump, announced his excitement on social media, stating he would be ready to enter the Octagon. He wrote, “July 4th, America, Happy America. I’m thrilled to be part of President Trump’s UFC fight event at the White House. Count me in!”

However, McGregor hasn’t fought recently, having pulled out of a much-anticipated match with Michael Chandler after suffering injuries in previous fights.

Interestingly, Chandler seems open to participating in this event. He shared an AI-generated image of himself in a suit alongside McGregor on the White House lawn, featuring Trump in the background.

Chandler playfully captioned the image, “Are you talking about the good old, passionate, red, white, blue butts on the White House lawn?”

If this matchup doesn’t materialize, there’s also the possibility of UFC president Dana White allowing another heavyweight, Jon Jones, to compete. Jones recently left MMA and vacated his championship title but piqued interest when he heard about Trump’s proposal.

He responded with a tweet that included emojis, asking, “A fight in the White House?” Later, he noted that he was keeping options open for future endeavors.

Trump, known for his frequent attendance at UFC events, certainly seems to be creating an intriguing scenario.
