Notably, he addressed an incident involving Michael Flynn Jr., who had used clips of Swanson inappropriately, particularly during Pride Month. Flynn Jr. posted a video of Ron throwing a rainbow flag into a trash bin, captioned to express his disdain for Pride Month.
Offerman found humor in Flynn Jr.’s take, saying, “Ron was the best guy at a ridiculous gay wedding.” He mentioned that his character even served as a gay hairdresser and best man in the series finale, which adds another layer of contradiction to the narrative surrounding Swanson.
